SDAP is a Web server that integrates a database of allergenic proteins with various bioinformatics tools for performing structural studies related to allergens and characterization of their epitopes.

The SDAP project is supported by grants from the National Institute of Health (2R56AI064913), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under a STAR Research Assistance Agreement (No. RD 834823), and the National Institute of Health (1RO1AI165866-01) .

SDAP database:

  • 1908 allergens and isoallergens: List
  • 1642 Protein sequences for allergens and isoallergens: List
  • 109 Allergens with PDB structures: List
  • 378 3D models for allergens and isoallergens: List
  • 30 Allergens with IgE epitope sets: List
  • 233 new Pfam allergen classes: List
  • SDAP Food, for food allergens
  • SDAP All allergens

SDAP computational tools:

  • Go! FAO/WHO Allergenicity Test
  • Go! Search your protein with FASTA against all SDAP allergens
  • Go! Search your epitope (peptide) for exact matches in all SDAP allergens
  • Go! Search your epitope (peptide) for similar regions in all SDAP allergens, using our original PD sequence similarity index
  • Go! Compute the PD sequence similarity index for two sequences provided by the user
  • For any epitope in SDAP, search for exact matches in the PIR (Protein Information Resources) database
  • For any epitope in SDAP, search for similar regions in all SDAP allergens, using our original PD sequence similarity index
  • For any epitope in SDAP, search for exact matches in all SDAP allergens
  • FASTA@SDAP: select an SDAP allergen and find similar sequences from SDAP
  • BLAST@ExPASy: select an SDAP allergen and find similar sequences in SwissProt and other databases from the Expert Protein Analysis System (ExPASy) proteomics server
  • PROSITE@PIR: select an SDAP allergen and find PROSITE patterns at PIR (Protein Information Resources)
